Computer Science (Python)

The Spark STEM Scholars Python course is designed for students with little to no prior coding experience. Over the course of one-hour weekly sessions over 8 months, students will explore the fundamentals of computer science and get familiar with the Python programming language. Through interactive lessons, hands-on coding exercises, and weekly homework assignments, students will learn core concepts such as variables, conditionals, loops, functions, and data structures. Each unit will end with an assessment to evaluate students' skills.

By the end of the course, students will be able to write basic Python programs and complete a final project that demonstrates their understanding. The course encourages creativity, logical thinking, and problem-solving, making it a fun and engaging way to begin the journey into computer science.
